N.C. A&T
will air the game via the Aggie Radio Network
via the WNAA (90.1 FM) with Billy
Covington, Spencer Gwynn (play-byplay) and Mel Swann
calling all the action. Highlights of
the game will be seen on the Joe Taylor Show on
Sundays at 11:30 a.m. on WTXL 27
(Channel 7) in Tallahassee and on Sun Sports
(Cable 28 in Tallahassee) state wide Wednesdays at
3 p.m. Rattler Prime Time, airing on FAMU
TV 20 (Comcast Cable 20), will also
feature full game replays several times each week
following every game.
LAST TIME OUT:
FAMU picked up their first win
against South Carolina State in eight seasons as the
Rattlers defeated the Bulldogs, 27-24 at Oliver
Bulldog Stadium in Orangeburg,
S.C., broadcasted via tape delay on ESPNU.

A&T dropped their second straight
contest as league leading Norfolk State defeated the
Aggies, 14-10 at Dick Price Stadium in
Norfolk, Va.
WHAT'S AT
STAKE: For both clubs, a win would give
them their fourth conference win of
the season as
they strive, to catch league leading
Norfolk State, who has one conference loss on the
season with both FAMU and N.C. A&T
rooting for Savannah State to hand the Spartans their
second conference loss of the season.
- For the
Rattlers, a win would give FAMU their
seventh straight win against North
Carolina A&T.
- For the
Aggies, a win would snap the Rattlers'
seven-game win streak.
THE SERIES
HISTORICAL:
This will be
Rattlers and the Aggies' 58th meeting on the
field of battle with FAMU leading the
series 42-13-2. The first time these two teams met
was during the 1938 season with FAMU winning 13-0 over N.C. A&T.
Famed FAMU coac Robert "Pete" Griffin was on that FAMU team. FAMU has posted a 15-game win streak in the
series from 1952 to 1967 with FAMU and N.C.
A&T fighting to a 7-7 draw in 1951. The
Aggies would snap the 15-game win streak
with a 9-6 over the Rattlers in 1968 season.

Damien Fleming
earns co-Rookie of the Week Honors.
FAMU Freshman
quarterback Damien Fleming earned
Co-Rookie of the Week Honors for his performance
against South Carolina State. He connected of
34-of-40 (85 percent) passed for 297 yards with
one touchdown in the Rattlers' 27-24 win over
the Bulldogs. Fleming's connection
percentage (85%) was the fourth best in school
history. The victory snapped an eight-game
losing skid for the Rattler's which handed SCSU
its first home loss this season.
Joe Taylor's
quarterbacks...
In his fourth
season as head coach of the FAMU Rattlers,
Taylor has produced three of the four
quarterbacks that have passed for 80- plus percent
in a game in school history. Eddie Battle was a
perfect 11-of-11 against South Carolina State
in 2008; Curtis Pulley was 17- of-21 against Winston-Salem State for 80.9 percent in the
2009 season and Damien Fleming as he
connected on 34-of-40 passes for 85 percent,
two weeks ago against South Carolina
State.

The FAMU
Secondary has tallied 18 interceptions
on the season. This is the second most a FAMU
Joe Taylor-coached team has garnered in a season. In
his inaugural season, the Rattler secondary
garnered 16 INTs as FAMU finished the season 9-3
in 2008. The last time a FAMU secondary
posted 20 interceptions in a season was in
2000 with the Rattlers grabbing 20
interceptions for 291 yards. In 1999, the FAMU secondary
tallied 22 interceptions for 402 yards. The
school record for interceptions in a season is 35, during the 1981 season.
The Rattlers currently lead the MEAC in interceptions.

In the
Rattlers' 27-24 win over South Carolina State, it was
the first game of the season, that the Rattler
secondary did not get a pick. The Rattler
secondary has had an interception in seven of their
last eight games. The FAMU vs. SCSU game
was truly a game between two titans as
neither team committed a turnover.

Small Faces
Alma-Mater Saturday
FAMU's
Associate Head Coach and Defensive Line Coach
George Small is a 1979 graduate of North Carolina
A&T State University. This Radford, N.C.,
native was a four-year letter winner for the
Aggies as an offensive lineman and defensive
lineman earning All-Mid-Eastern Athletic
Conference honors his senior season, while serving
as the team captain, In addition
Small was honored as a Pittsburgh Courier
All-American and was selected to the North Carolina
All-State team. He graduated with a
bachelor's degree in recreation administration
in December of 1979, and was named as a
National Dean List honoree, and as Who's Who
Among Outstanding Names and Faces. Small also
enjoyed a five-year stretch in the National
Football League, which included tours with the
New York Giants, Denver Broncos, Green
Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh
Steelers, before embarking on a career in
coaching.

MATCHUP:
Florida A&M's
Joseph "Joe" Taylor (Western Illinois, '72) is in his
29th season as a collegiate head coach,
bringing a career record of 227-88-4 into the tenth
week of the season. Rod Broadway
(North Carolina , '77) is in his ninth season
as a collegiate head coach and his first
season as head coach of the North Carolina
A&T Aggies. He comes into today contest with a
record of 83-29. This will be
the first time that Joe Taylor and Rod Broadway
will face each other as collegiate
head coaches.

GLANCE:
Florida A&M comes
into this week's contest with a 5-3 overall record
and 3-2 in Mid-Eastern Athletic
Conference
play. Al-Terek
McBurse has taken over as the Rattlers
leading rusher with 338 yards on 49 carries with
four TDs averaging 48.3 yards per game. Behind
him is Eddie Rocker with 283 yards on 73
rushed with three TDs averaging 35.4 yards per
game. Bringing up the rear is Lavante Page
with 11 TDs on the season ranking No. 10
in FCS (Div. I-AA) has rushed for 233 yards
on 84 carries averaging 29.1 yards per
game. Damien Fleming
is the Rattler signal caller as he has passed
for 895 yards completing 79-of- 123 passes
with five TDs. He currently has a 64.2
completing percentage. Lenworth
Lennon and Kevin Elliott leads the Rattler
receivers with Lenworth leading the Rattlers in
reception with 33 catches for 417 yards, while
Elliott leads the Rattlers in receiving
yards with 500 receiving yards on 30 catches. Both
have a pair of TDs each on the season. Demarius
Fulson and Brandon Hepburn both have 47
tackles each on the season to the lead the Rattler
defense. Folson has seven tackles for loss, five
sacks, one interception, one pass breakup and
four quarterback hurries on the season, while
Hepburn has 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack and
two quarterback hurries.
AGGIES AT A
GLANCE: North Carolina A&T comes
into today's contest with an overall record 4-4 and
3-2 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference
play. Mike Mayhew
comes into today's contest as the MEAC's leading
rusher as he closes in 1,000 yards on the
season. He currently has rushed for 873 yards
on 174 carries, averaging 109.1 yards per
game. Lewis Kindle
is the Aggies signal caller as he has completed
97-of-178 for 1,358 yards with 12 passing TDs
on the with his longest pass being for 65
yards. Wallace Miles
is North Carolina A&T's leading receiver with
660 receiving yards on 41 catches with fourth
TDs averaging 82.5 yards per game. Vonte Grant is
the Aggies leading tackler as he has tallied 65
tackles (38 solos, 27 Asst) in eight games,
seven tackles for loss, one sack, one
interception, one pass break up, two quarterback
hurries, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble
and blocked kicked. Behind him is Brandon
Hover, who has 58 tackles ( 32 solos, 26
asst) on the season, five tackles for loss, two
sacks, one interception, one pass breakup and
two quarterback hurries.

OUT 22-19 WIN OVER NORTH CAROLINA
A&T IN OVERTIME
GREENSBORO,
N.C. (Nov. 6) - Philip Sylvester
scored on 14-yard run in overtime to give the
Florida A&M University Football team a 22-19 win
over North Carolina A&T State University,
here Saturday afternoon at Aggie Stadium. Kevin Elliott
gave the Rattlers a 7-0 lead with 7:53 to go in
the first quarter as he scored on an eight-yard
pass from Austin Trainor, after the made Trevor
Scott PAT.
Two minutes
later the, Aggies cut FAMU's lead to 7-6 as he
scored on a five-yard run with 5- 23 to go in
the first, as the S. Shidler PAT was blocked.
Vernon
White would score on a 12-yard fumble
recovery with 1:38 to go in the first, giving N.C.
A&T a 13-7 lead after the Shidler made PAT.
Scott cut the
Aggies lead to 13-10 on a made 29-yard field
goal with 14:48 to go in the half.
Shidler gave
N.C.A&T a 16-10 halftime lead as he connected
on a 23-yard field goal as time expired to end
the half.
Scott would
tie the game at 16-16 as he made a pair of field
in the second half. He connected on a 24-yard
field goal with 7:02 to go in the third, followed by a
46-yard field goal with 4:28 go in the fourth.
N.C. A&T
would win the toss in the overtime period and
would be awarded the ball first on the FAMU 25-yard
line. The Rattler defense would hold the
Aggies to a field goal as Shidler connected on
21-yard field goal, to give N.C. A&T a
19-16 lead.
FAMU would
then be awarded the ball on the N.C. A&T
25-yard line. That is when; Sylvester took over for
the Rattlers. He picked up three yards on his
first carry, followed by an eight-yard pick up on his
second carry of the overtime period. Then
Sylvester would give FAMU a 22- 19 win over
N.C. A&T as scored on a14-yard run on his third
carry of the overtime period.
FAMU (6-3, 5-1
MEAC) was led by Sylvester as he rushed
for his fourth consecutive 100-yard game of the
season. He finished the game with 110 yards on
32 carries with a TD. Trainor in his
first ever collegiate start finished the game 157
yards passing by completing 16 passes in 35
attempts with TD and two interceptions.
Elliott
recorded a season high seven receptions for 49 yards,
while Antonio "T.J." Lawrence finished with
four catches for 36 yards. FAMU has three
Rattlers to finish with six tackles each
in Anthony Shutt, Brandon Hepburn and Alphonso
Walker.
N.C. A&T
(1-9, 1-6 MEAC) was led Mike Mayhew with 31
yard rushing on eight carries. George Hine
through the air for the Aggies finished with
156 yards passing by completing 11 passes in
32 attempts with a pair of interceptions. Torrian Warren
led the Aggie receivers with 91 yards
receiving on six catches. N.C. A&T
had a trio of the Aggies to finish in double-digit
tackles as Brandon Jackson finished the
game with 13 total take downs (5 solo, 8 asst)
and 1.5 tackle for a loss of three yards. Dashaun Graham
garnered 11 tackles (4 solos, 7 asst) with
1.0 tackles for a loss of five yards. Justin Ferrell
rounded out the cast of Aggies in double-digit
tackles with 10. He finished the game with
seven solos tackles and three assisted
tackles.
