TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Feb. 6) - Florida A&M head football coach Earl Homes announced the signing of 22 young men to a National Letters of Intent, here Wednesday afternoon at the Alfred Lawson, Jr., Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium.

"I am very excited about this recruiting class, because it is my first recruiting class as a head coach," said  Holmes. "Our coaches have made tremendous relationships and have done an outstanding job with this year's recruiting class," Holmes added.

FAMU went heavily on the defensive side of the ball as the Rattlers signed four defensive lineman, four linebackers and two defensive backs to lead the list of signees. The Rattlers also added three offensive lineman, two running backs, two wide receivers, two athletes and one quarterback to round out the cast of FAMU signees.

The Rattlers tallied 16 of their 20 signees from the Sunshine State, with the other four signees hailing from, Alabama (1), Georgia (1), Mississippi (1) and South Carolina (1).
