AKRON, Ohio (Dec. 17) - The Florida A&M Men's Basketball team outscored Akron in the second half as the Zips defeated the Rattlers, 91-69 here Saturday evening at Rhodes Arena.
FAMU (2-9) had four Rattlers to score in double-figures as D'Andre Bullard scored a team-high 13 points, followed by
Avery Moore with 12 points, while both Reggie Lewis and
Yannick Crowder finished with 11 points.
Jeremy Dean led the Rattlers on the boards with 10 rebounds.
The Rattlers finished the first half shooting 21.9 percent (seven -of-32), while the Zips shot 63.3 percent (19-of-30)as Akron went into the break with a 48-19 lead.
Akron (5-5) was paced by C.J. Oldham with a team-high 16 points, followed by Nikola Cvetionovic with a double-double as he scored 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Zeke Marshall added 13 points, while both Demetrius Treadwell and Adedeji finished with 13 points apiece.
FAMU will return to action on Wednesday, December 21 as they will host the University of North Florida in a 7 p.m. tip at the Al Lawson Center.
