This Is A Really BIG Weekend In FAMU Athletics

TALLAHASSEE,FL (Apr.3) - Rattler fans, this is a big weekend for home action for FAMU Athletics. With that, there have also been several changes in times and dates for some of the festivities. The good news is all events for the weekend, with the exeption of the golf tournament, are free. Come on out, wear your orange and green and lets get ready to support YOUR FAMU Rattlers in competition.

FAMU Athletics Presents First-Ever Scholarship Golf Tournament

On Friday, the FAMU Department of Athletics will host it's first-ever summer school funding golf tournament. The event is at the beautiful Southwood Golf Club and is open for the public to play. Tee it up and support your Rattlers in this fun-filled event in support of student-athletes. Individual entry fee is just $100, with a foursome at $400. Registration time is 8:15 a.m., with complimentary range balls. Each golfer will receive breakfast before the round and lunch at the conclusion. Mulligans will be available for purchase and trophies to the winners. For more information, please call (850)599-3878.

Softball Game Moved To Friday

The FAMU Lady Rattlers Softball Team will take on the Aggies of North Carolina A&T this weekend at the Lady Rattler Softball Complex. The MEAC series has been moved from its normal Saturday-Sunday routine, to a Friday-Saturday series.

Rattlers and Lady Rattlers Tennis Senior Day Saturday

The FAMU Rattlers and Lady Rattlers will host the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats in MEAC tennis action this Saturday at the FAMU Tennis Complex. The action will begin at 12:45 p.m. with the celebration of the senior players, with the doubles matches getting underway immediately after.

Orange & Green Football Game Set for Saturday at 5 p.m.

The annual Orange & Green spring football scrimmage will be this Saturday, at 5 p.m. at Bragg Memorial Stadium. This year, the Rattlers look to return to the top of the MEAC and the veteran players look to start off the season with a solid spring.

The game will be in conjuntion with "Be Out Day." "Be Out Day," is an annual fun day on campus for students. "Be Out Day," will start in the north parking lot of Bragg Stadium at 12 noon and end at 5 p.m., in conjunction with the start of the Orange and Green game. The FAMU Student Government Association, FAMU Student Senate, Office of Student Activities and FAMU Campus Recreation will be honored at halftime of the spring game for their contributions to FAMU Athletics.

Season Football Tickets On Sale Now

With an exciting schedule for 2012, the Rattlers are ready to Strike, Strike and Strike again! The FAMU Ticket Office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. On this Saturday, the ticket office will be open from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. for your convenience.
