Sabrina Edmonds had the hot bat for N.C. A&T as she connected on three hits in four at-bats, while scoring one run.
Arianna Stewart also had a hot bat for the Lady Rattlers as she recorded three hits in four at-bats, while scoring one run to lead FAMU.
Ashira Dobison (10-11) picked up the win for the Lady Aggies as she gave up 11 hits, three earned runs and struck out one in seven innings. Jennifer Lindsey (6-7) pitched four innings, allowing six hits, four earned runs and struck out four in the 20 batters she faced.
N.C. A&T took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning as Dominique Smith tripled to left, scoring Ericka Turner, who singled to right field in her at-bat. Smith would score on a Tranea Jones double to left field.
Tera Gainer cut the Lady Aggies' lead to 2-1 as she singled to left side scoring Alyssa Weaver in the bottom of the third inning.
A two-run homer by Smith would increase the Lady Aggies' lead to 4-1 in the top of the fourth inning.
N.C. A&T would score four more runs in the top of the fifth inning to increase their lead to 8-1.
Gainer would cut into the Lady Aggies' lead once more as she homered to left field scoring herself and Stewart for the 8-3 finale.
The Lady Rattlers will return to action on Saturday, April 7 as they will conclud their three-game MEAC series with North Carolina A&T in a doubleheader with game, with the first slated to start at 1 p.m.
