FAMU Volleyball Inks Wright and Martin For 2013

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 30)   - Florida A&M Volleyball coach Tanio “Tony” Trifinov announced the signing of a middle blocker and a setter, today for the 2013 season.
 
Joining the Lady Rattlers this fall will be Dei'ja Martin, a 6-0 middle blocker from Glenns Ferry, Idaho, who played for the 18-under National Team Club Canyon Volleyball Amateur Athlete Union.
   
In addition, Trifonov will have the services of Jordyn Wright, a 5-9 junior college transfer setter from the College of Central Florida. This Snelville, Ga., native saw action in 35 matches as she finished the season with 1,162 assists,  31 service aces, and 214 digs, ranking eighth in the nation in assists, earning First Team All- NJCAA Region 8 Honors.
 
Also, Wright led her team to a sixth place finished in the NJCAA National Tournament, and a final No. 7 ranking in the NJCAA National Poll.
 
FAMU will open the 2013 season in the Georgia Tech Tournament, Aug. 30 through Sept. 2 in Atlanta, Ga.
