CORAL GABLES, Fla. (Aug. 26) - The FAMU Women's Volleyball team continued play in the FIU Invitational Friday evening, venturing across town to the University of Miami,
where they lost in straight sets, 3-0 (12-25, 19-25, 18-25).

Newcomer Nicole Abreu led the way for FAMU with 14 kills, followed by senior Starmichael Tucker with six and freshman Maria Yvette Garcia with five.

Freshman setter Elena Dimitrova had 27 assists, while Tucker kled with 11 digs, followed by seven from Valentia Carrasco.

FAMU will close the FIU Invitational Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. against host FIU at Golden Panther Arnea.
