Pensacola native M.J. Randolph was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the third time this season.
The 6-4, 194-pound freshman from Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida, scored 13 points, with four rebounds and four assists in two games over the weekend.
He had 11 points on 5 of 9 shooting, with three rebounds and an assists in the 82-72 FAMU win over Howard University Saturday.
On the season, the talented newcomer has started 14 of the team's 17 games, ranking as the club's number two scorer at 7.9 points per game.
He is shooting 56.6 percent (60 of 106), tops among regulars, while averaging 3.9 rebounds per game, with 29 assists and a team-best 20 steals in 17 games.
