DURHAM, NC (Mar.6) - The FAMU Lady Rattlers dropped a tough match to the NCCU Lady Eagles 5-2, here in Durham, NC at the NCCU Tennis Courts. Shani Williams and Elysia Ortiz would garner the only two points for the Lady Rattlers as they were soundly defeated by the Lady Eagles.

In the doubles match, Williams and Britney Dean would grab the Lady Rattlers' only point in an 8-1 defeat of Lakisha McDougald and Julia Aguilar. NCCU's Cameron Chatman and Oleysa Palko defeated Kathline Durden and Alexis Brown by an 8-4 score in the No.1 slot. In the No.2 slot, Ekaterina Nekrasova and Rebecca Wood defeated Bethany Holt and Ortiz 8-0 to win the doubles point.

Palko defeated Durden (6-0, 6-2) in the singles No.1 slot. Chatman defeated Brown (6-3, 7-5) in the No.2 slot. In the No.3 slot, Nekrasove downed Dean (6-2, 6-1), while Wood took dwon Holt (6-2, 6-4) in the No.4 slot.

The two bright sports for the Lady Rattlers were Williams' (6-0, 6-0) shot out of McDougald in the No.5 spot and Ortiz's defeat of Aguilar (6-0,6-1) in the No.6 slot)
