TALLAHASSEE,FL (Sept. 6) – Today, FAMU Athletics launched their all-new interface for Rattler Vision.  The new interface allows ease in navigating through the content offered on the Web page.  Most of the videos on the entire site are accessible directly from the home interface.  

In addition to the new interface, FAMU Athletics also switched from streaming video in the Windows Media format, to the more popular Flash protocol.  Streaming in Flash will allow more flexibility and more versatile utilization of bandwidth.

FAMU Athletic Director Derek Horne felt the move was necessary.  "We want to give our fans the best opportunity to view content on Rattler Vision at its highest quality.  With four football games and several volleyball games on the slate, we wanted to convert the system, so our audience would have time to update their players in order to receive the highest quality broadcast," He said.

The first game to be broadcast on the new format will be the Sept. 15 football game against Hampton University.  To order the game, log on to the FAMU Athletics homepage at www.FAMUAthletics.com and log in to Rattler Vision to order.
