TALLAHASSEE,FL (Sept.14) - Anyone visiting Bragg Memorial Stadium for the first time in a while will notice quite a different look in the parking lot. Over the Spring and Summer, a massive revamping of the parking spaces reserved for those with special needs was designed and completed. Several additional ramps, new signage and remarking of those parking areas took place to comply with ADA regulations.

All parking access remains with the Rattler Boosters. Parking at the stadium can be secured before game day by calling the Rattler Boosters office at (850)224-6093. On game day, the FAMU information center on the corner of Wahnish Way and Gamble streets will sell spaces until they are sold out. Gibbs Hall will be used as the overflow lot on gameday.

This heightened attention to these lots was generated by the Rattlers Boosters, FAMU Athletics and the FAMU Office of Equal Opportunity, coordinated by Bill Adams, to provide functional access to those with special needs. The improvements will assist in both parking and entry to the stadium.

Executive director of the Rattler Boosters, Mickey Clayton, is pleased with the construction. "The Rattler Boosters is committed to providing fair access to all who wish to enjoy the atmosphere of a football game at FAMU. I am very proud of the collaborative work done within the university to determine what was needed to become compliant and the actual work of FAMU plant operations and facilities planning," Clayton said.

In addition to the construction, the Rattler Boosters has provided a game day information number, that can also be used to call a shuttle from the Gibbs Hall lot to the stadium. The new number for special needs assistance with parking is (850) 509-5976.
