A native of Charlotte, N.C., Constance Orr begins her first season on the Women’s Softball coaching staff at Florida A&M University in 2016.
Orr graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where as a member of the Tar Heels’ softball team, she was named to the 2013 All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) team and the 2013 ACC All-Tournament team.
As a senior (2013), Orr finished ranked third in the ACC for home runs (15), and batting average (.356), and fourth in slugging (.690). She led UNC with 50 RBIs and 62 hits, with a .959 fielding mark.
That season (2013), Orr was named ACC Player of the Week on March 5, after tallying 11 RBIs and hitting three multiple-run home runs, including a grand slam, over six games.
Orr began her coaching career at Porter Ridge High School Varsity Softball team, where she served from 2013-2015. She captured back to back Southwestern 4A Conference Coach of the Year awards in 2014 and 2015.
