A native of Charlotte, N.C., Constance Orr enters her third season with the women’s softball team. During her first two years she coached the pitching staff which aided the team in two MEAC championships and two NCAA Regional appearances.
Orr graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where as a member of the Tar Heels’ softball team, she was named to the 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) All Conference Team as well as the 2013 ACC All-Tournament team.
As a senior (2013), Orr finished ranked third in the ACC for home runs (15), and batting average (.356), and fourth in slugging (.690). She led UNC with 50 RBIs and 62 hits, and a .959 fielding mark.
That season (2013), Orr was named ACC Player of the Week on March 5, after tallying 11 RBIs and hitting three multiple-run home runs, including a grand slam, in six games.
Orr began her coaching career at Porter Ridge High School Varsity Softball team, where she served from 2013-2015. She captured back to back Southwestern 4A Conference Coach of the Year awards in 2014 and 2015.
Orr oversees the pitching staff as well as day-to-day team operations.
