DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 1) - The FAMU Men's Golf team is in the title mix after two rounds of play in the Gary Freeman Spring Invitational hosted by Bethune-Cookman University Thursday afternoon.
The Rattler contingent shot a two-round 623 (313-310). good for fourth place behind first place Fort Wayne (596), host Bethune-Cookman (600) in second, and Sacred Heart (608) in third.
On the Individual Leaderbord, Alejandro Toro carded a 36-hile total of 154 with a 79 and 75, good for a tie for 12th place.
Mulbe Dillard IV was tied with 15th, with a 36-hole score of 155 (77-78). Teammates Dennis Minefee (78-79) and Cameron Riley (79-78), were tied for 21st at 157, while Mahindra Lutchman shot a 171 (89-82) through two rounds.
The final round was set to begin Friday morning at the LPGA International venue.
