BALTIMORE, November 17, 2012- Florida A&M advanced to the championship match of the 2012 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball tournament with a 3-2 victory over Norfolk State at the Physical Education Complex on the campus of Coppin State University.

The Lady Rattlers (14-10) will meet Maryland Eastern Shore in the tomorrow's championship final. The two teams have met six times in the title game with FAMU holding the 6-1 advantage.

The championship match, which is scheduled for Noon, will air live on MEACSports.com

Yeisha Arcia guide FAMU to their 11th consecutive MEAC championship final with 19 kills and six digs. The redshirt freshman totaled 19.0 points for the Lady Rattlers. Maria Ceccarelli had 13 kills and seven digs, while Diana Gonzalez posted a match-high 41 assists.

Senior Charlotte Armstead led the Spartans with 15 kills on 31 attacks. Freshman Jessica Johnson added a double-double of 10 kills and 12 digs.

Norfolk State concluded the season with a 19-14 overall mark.
