NORFOLK, Va., December 10, 2012 - Bethune-Cookman's Adrien Coleman was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Player of the Week the conference announced on Monday. Trey Kellum of Florida A&M was named Rookie of the Week while Rob Johnson of Norfolk State was named Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.
Coleman (F, 6-5, 190, Jr., Atlanta, Ga.) recorded a triple-double of 18 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists in an 85-72 win over Webber International. The feet was the first for any men's basketball player in Bethune-Cookman history. He also notched 29 points, shooting 13-of-14 from the field, with eight rebounds, three assists, five steals and one blocked shot in a win over Stetson. For the week Coleman averaged 23.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3.5 steals in the two non-conference games.
Kellum (F, 6-6, 205, Fr., Peoria, Ill.) posted a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds with two steals in a 109-59 win over Allen. For the week he shot 50-percent from the field and totaled 17 points, 16 rebounds, two steals and one assist to help the Rattlers to a 2-0 finish.
Johnson (F, 6-8, 220, Sr., Roswell, Ga.) tallied a combined 18 rebounds and three steals in two victories last week for the Spartans. Against UMBC, Johnson hauled down 11 boards and collected three steals while playing 39 minutes. Offensively he averaged 18.5 points and 3.0 assists in the wins.

Muhammad Adbul-Aleem (FAMU) averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in a pair of non-conference wins last week.
Jeremy Ingram (NCCU) finished with 18 points and grabbed a career-high seven rebounds against Eastern Kentucky.
Kyree Jones (UMES) scored 24 points against Maryland and 25 points against Cincinnati in non-conference games last week.
Michael Murray (CSU) averaged a double-double of 22.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in two non-conference games last week.
Mike Phillips (HOW) posted a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds in a 55-50 win over American.
Deron Powers (HAM) dished out seven assists with nine points and five rebounds against Robert Morris.
Tahj Tate (DSU) collected his first career double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Delaware.
Ray Willis (NCCU) scored 16 points and hauled in five rebounds against Eastern Kentucky.
