Brandon Sharp comes with Willie Simmons from Prarie View A&M, where he served as passing game coordinator, safeties and cornerbacks coach. Sharp worked with the Panthers from 2015-2017.
Prior to his stint at Prarie View, Sharp spent a season at Henderson State University (Arkadelphia, Arkansas). There he was responsible for coaching the outside linebackers. From 2012-2014, he was defensive backs coach the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Sharp spent three seasons as a graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas. There he assisted the defensive coordinator, specifically working with the defensive backs. He also assisted in offensive formations.
The Bolles High School graduate was a three year starter at defensive back before entering college at the University of Louisville. For the Cardinals, Sharp was a four-year starter.
After graduating from Louisvlle, Sharp was signed to the Tennessee Titans of the NFL in 2007. He spent time in mini camps, training camps and made it through three preseason games. In November 2007, he concluded his professional playing finishing the season with the Chicago Bears, after signing during the season to the practice squad.
Sharp was a highly awarded player at Louisville. He won the Louisville Defensive Coaches Award (2007), Bug East second team All-Conference, Big East Conference Defensive Player of the Week (2006) and University of Louisville Dean’s List (2003).
His coaching experience has resulted in participation in some impressive contests including the Cotton Bowl (2012), Sugar Bowl (2011) and Liberty Bowl Championship (2010).
Sharp earned a B.S. in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville in 2007.
