Interim head coach Kevin Lynum was pleased with the effort put forth by his team.  “I want to commend our kids for their excellent effort in fighting for 40 minutes.  I couldn’t be more proud of them and as we talked to them in the locker room that there was no reason for them to hang their heads because they gave all that they had.,” said Lynum.

It was not one of the Lady Rattlers’ best shooting days from the field.  In the first half, they scored 21 points on 7-of-37 shooting (18.9 percent).  They rebounded in the second half shooting 13-of-37 for (35 percent), ending the game shooting 20-of-74 for a 35 percent average.  FAMU shot 3-of-14 from three-point range (21.4 percent) and 83.3 percent from the free throw line on 10-of-12 shooting.

Royal, a leader on the team, “My attitude was to stay focused the whole way…run the floor and rebound effectively and put the ball in the hole.

Moya, a member of the MEAC All-Rookie team, talked about her first MEAC Tournament experience and what it takes to win in the tournament.  “It takes hard work and effort.  I feel like we gave it our all  and just came out short, but we’re going to be ready next year,” she said.
