TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Florida A&M University football student-athletes Xavier Smith and Marcus Williams picked up weekly Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) honors, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.

Smith, who set a school record with four touchdown receptions in a 52-30 win over Delaware State on Saturday, was tabbed the MEAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while Williams garnered MEAC Special Teams Player of the Week accolades.
Smith registered 184 yards on nine catches, along with four touchdowns against Delaware State. He averaged over 20 yards per reception and earned a College Gameday Final Helmet Sticker from ESPN’s Joey Gallaway. In addition, Smith earned STATS FCS Honorable Mention Offensive Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Williams sparked the kickoff return game for the Rattlers as he registered 143 yards, including returning a kickoff 94 yards for a score against DSU. He also caught six passes for 69 yards and finished the day with 212 all-purpose yards.
Florida A&M, ranked No. 15 in the FCS Coaches Poll and No. 16 in the STATS FCS Top 25, are off this week and return to action on Saturday, Nov. 16 against Howard. Kickoff against the Bison is set for 4 p.m. from Bragg Memorial Stadium.
