Mariah Dawson (5-2) picked up the win for the Panthers as she pitched seven innings allowing three hits, one earned run and striking out 11, while Ashley Minter (0-4) received the loss for the Lady Rattlers as she pitched six innings, giving up six hits, three earned runs and striking out one.
FAMU cut FIU's led to 3-1 in the top of the fifth as Ashanti Shepherd scored on a wild pitch to score the Lady Rattlers' only run of the game.

TULSA RALLIES PAST LADY RATTLERS 11-6 IN EXTRA INNINGS
BOCA RATON, Fla. (Feb. 25) - Tulsa scored five runs in the top of the eighth as they rallied past the Florida A&M Softball Team 11-6, here Saturday evening at the FAU Softball Stadium in their fourth game of the FAU Softball Tourney.
Tulsa (1-0) finished with a game high 13 hits as both Caitlin Everett and Jill Barrett finished with three hits each, while FAMU (2-11) finished with six hits as both Whitney Robinson and Jennifer Lindsey finished with two hits each for the Lady Rattlers.
Aimee Greger (1-0) received the win for Tulsa as she struck out six in three innings in relief, while Jennifer Lindsey (2-5) received the loss for the Lady Rattlers as she gave up 12 hits, six earned runs and struck out two in seven and two-third innings of work.
FAMU grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning as Amanda Weaver scored on Lindsey single.
Tulsa picked up three runs in the top of the fourth to take 3-1 lead on Skylar Barrett two-run homer, followed by a Jessica Stoelke sacrifice fly to center field scoring Lacy Middlebrooks.
A Kiefi Myrick homer to center field cut Tulsa's lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth.
Tulsa added to their lead in the top of the fifth as they scored two runs to take a 5-2 lead.
FAMU took the lead into the bottom of the fifth as Christina Robbs scored on a Tenisha Dixon sacrifice fly. Myrick was walked with the bases loaded, scoring Dixon. Whitney Robinson's double would score both Shepherd and Alyssa Weaver, giving the Lady Rattlers a 6-5 lead.
Tulsa tied the game at 6-6 in the top of the sixth as Cierra Hughes scored on Shelby Blanton single.
Tulsa took advantage of four hits and one FAMU error to score five runs for the 11-6 finale in the top of the eighth inning.
