ATLANTA, Ga (Sept. 24) - The Florida A&M golf team took home fifth place in the HBCU Hall of Fame Golf Tournament at Brown's Mill Golf Course, during Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic weekend. The tournament, that coincides with HBCU hall of Fame weekend, draws a strong field of black college golfers yearly.
Tennessee State took home top honors with a strong team score of 571. They were followed by Jackson State (577), Alabama State (584), Savannah State (586) and FAMU (593). The remaining teams to place were North Carolina Central University (611), the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (632), Prarie View A&M (655), Hampton University (662) and Alabama A&M University (714).
For the Rattlers, Justin Stills claimed the lowest individual score of 146 (74,72). Justin Stills carded a 148 (73,75), Shepherd Archie III scored a 150 (74,76), Randon Holt made a 154 (80,74) and Cory Sapp came in at 159 (75,84).
