Rattler netters show dominance against Norfolk in 7-0 shutout

SUMTER, S.C. - The Florida A&M Men's Tennis team used dominant play to defeat the Norfolk State Spartans in the MEAC Round-up at the Palmetto Tennis Center.

In the doubles matches, the Rattlers took all sets to earn the doubles point.  Takura Happy and Chidi Gabriel defeated Arsenio Culver and Ben Marks 8-6 in the No.1 position.  Temuera Asafu-Adjaye and Maurice Wamokowa won the No.2 doubles slot with a score of 8-3 over Jonathan Sessom and Brian Bullock. Levan Clark and Michael Moore defeated Kent Austin and Christian Romanzini 8-0.

In singles play, FAMU's Clark defeated NSU's Culver in three sets (7-5, 4-6 and 10-6).  Takura Happy took the No.2 spot with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Marks.  Gabriel took the No.3 position with a 6-1, 6-0 defeat of Romanzini.    Maurice Wamokowa took the No.4 spot 6-1,6-0 over NSU's Kent Austin.  Michael Moore defeated Jonathan Sessom 6-0, 6-1 and Temuera Asafu-Adjaye defeated brian Bullock 6-0, 6-0 in the last position.

What's next for the Rattlers: The Rattlers will continue competition at the MEAC Round-up today against UMES and return home for a tuesday match against Nicholls State.
