FAMU (6-32) finished the game with four hits as Khiry Hernandez tallied two of them to lead the Rattlers.
UNF (21-15) tallied a game high ten hits as Andrew Karmeris finished with a team-high four hits to lead the Ospreys.
Nick Albritton (2-1) picked the win for the Ospreys as he pitched three and one-third innings in relief only allowing two hits and striking out two, while David Duncan received the loss as he gave up six hits, three earned runs and struck out five in six innings of work.
The Osprey took a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the third inning.
FAMU would cut UNF's lead to 3-1 as Ryan Sheplak, who singled to right field in his at-bat, scored on a Hernandez single to centerfield in the bottom of the third inning.
UNF increased their lead to 4-1 as Michael Wessner scored on a Tyler Marincov double to right field in the top of the fifth inning.
In their half of the fifth inning, FAMU pushed across two more runs as Ryan Sheplak scored his second run of the game on a wild pitch, followed by another Hernandez RBI single scoring Jared Walker, making the score 4-3 in favor of UNF.
The Ospreys would go on to score four more runs for an 8-3 win, with one run in the seventh inning and three runs in the top of the ninth inning.
FAMU will return to action on Saturday, April 14 as they will take on Bethune-Cookman in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Daytona Beach, Fla., with the first pitch slated to be thrown at 1 p.m.
