Q:         Is Coach Edward Taylor, the former head baseball coach at Albany State coming to FAMU?

A:         Coach Willie Brown is doing an awesome job.  Coach Taylor is not coming to FAMU.  The players are focused and will show vast improvement.

Q:         Why are fall student athletes at FAMU given an opportunity to play sports based on their high school GPA and test scores, but the spring student athletes are penalized if they struggle during the fist semester?

A:         Florida A&M University is a voluntary member of the NCAA.  There are certain rules that affect all student-athletes.  We have and will continue to address concerns about the affects of these rules.  We still, however, have to comply with the NCAA bylaws as written.

Q:         When is the spring Orange and Green football game?

A:         The Spring Game is held annually the first Saturday in April.  This year’s date is April 7, 2012.

Q:         Football Recruitment?

A:         All sports are offered an opportunity to recruit.  There has truly been an increase in the number of in-state signees in recent years, with an increased interest from prospective student-athletes at the over 500 high schools in the state.  As a conference, we understand how we must compete to improve our opportunities for post-season play.

Q:         When will the 2012 Football Season Schedule be posted?

A:         We are working very hard to complete the signing of all agreements.  We will post the schedule soon after.
