SSU (15-25, 7-8 MEAC) finished the contest with 11 hits, as Olesby finished the game three-for-four from the plate with three RBIs to lead the Tigers.
Oglesby picked up the win for the Tigers as he pitched two scoreless innings of baseball, only allowing one hit, while Tony Covington received the loss for the Rattlers as he pitched one-third inning of relief, giving up one hit, and one earned run.
SSU jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning as Todd Hagen scored on a Matthew Oglesby single.
FAMU would regain the lead in the top of the fifth inning as both Daniel Lee and Andrew Thomas scored for the Rattlers. Lee scored on a Ryan Sheplak single, while Khiry Hernandez grounded out to second scoring Thomas, giving the Rattlers a 2-1 lead.
The Rattlers added to their lead in the top of the seventh inning as Hernandez recorded his second RBI of the game as Thomas scored on his single back up the middle, giving FAMU a 3-1 lead.
SSU would tie the game in the bottom of the seventh inning as Joseph McCrary scored on an Oglesby single, followed by a FAMU infielder's error scoring Julius Green, tying the game at 3-3.
Oglesby would be the hero for the Tigers as he singled to left field scoring Joseph McCrary in the bottom of the ninth, giving SSU the 4-3 win.
FAMU will return to action on Saturday, May 5 as they will take on North Carolina Central in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader in a 1 p.m. start in Durham, N.C.
