Leading the Lady Rattlers' way was Chandelic Jackson who took second place in the 5,000m run with a time of 18:37.04. On Jackson's heels was teammate Nadine Mulvaney. Mulvaney and Jackson battled down the stretch as Mulvaney finished in 18:37.04, less than a second behind Jackson. The one-two punch provided the biggest boost in points on day one for the Lady Rattlers.
In the long jump the Lady Rattlers scored as Nakia Linson and Kinnesha Jones took fifth and seventh place respectively. Linson carded a leap of 5.59m (18-04.25), while Jones' best was 5.46m (17-11.00).
