TALLAHASSEE,FL (Oct.6) - The FAMU Lady Rattlers, behind the performance of Zenia George, won the 4th Annual Bobby Lang Cross Country Invitational 5K run, on the campus of Florida A&M University. The Lady Rattlers took the meet with the "B" squad as the prime squad took in the FSU Invitational they evening before.
George led all runners, taking first place in 19:56.21, averaging 6:25 per mile. Albany State University's Olivia Traylor took second place, finishing in 20:43.24. FAMU would take third and fourth places with two freshmen. Effiey Kosgei and Cynthia Chelelgo made impressive top five finishes in their first-ever Bobby Lang Invitational. Kosgei took third place in 21:25.82 (6:53.9/mile), while Chelelgo finished in 21:51.35 (7:02.1/mile).
Kinnesha Jones would come in fourth for the Lady Rattlers, carding a No.14 overall position in 24:18.10 (7:49.4), while Dynasty Jones would round out the Lady Rattlers in the meet, taking the No.16 position at 25:41.32 (8:16.1)
