Game 2: Greensboro, NC (March 6th, 2018) – After a one run loss in game one, FAMU hoped to split the double header in game two.

The Rattlers again scored in the first inning, this time thanks to a Jacky Miles double that scored Dallas Oliver to make it a 1-0 game going to the bottom of the first.

NC A&T quickly responded by breaking the game open with a ten run first inning that included homeruns by Milton Rivera and Dawnoven Smith, a triple by Forest Kimbrell, and doubles by Adan Ordonez and Dawnoven Smith.

Jacky Miles doubled with two outs in the top of the third, and would then score on a single to right field by Brian Davis to make it a 10-2 game after two and a half innings.

The Rattlers shortened the lead again in the fifth. Kaycee Reese hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Brian Davis and make it a 10-3 game going to the bottom of the fifth.

William Brooks answered with a solo homerun to right field to cut the NC A&T lead to 11-4 heading into the bottom of the sixth.

The Aggies added two more insurance runs in their half of the sixth. Ryne Stanley tripled to center field to drive in Camden Williamson, and then scored on a base hit by Myles Sowell to give NC A&T a 13-4 lead.

This lead was enough for NC A&T, as they would go on to win by a final score of 13-4. Marcello Betances got the win, allowing three runs through 5 innings of work.

Ryan Anderson was handed his third loss of the season, allowing six earned runs through 0.2 innings of work.
