TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Florida A&M University interim head women’s basketball coach Kevin Lynum announced the upcoming schedule for the 2019-20 season, which features three non-conference home games, two road contests against a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and one road tilt against a member of the Big 12.
Florida A&M will play 11 non-conference games, including three home games between the month of November and December.
The Lady Rattlers open play on Nov. 5 at USC Upstate in Spartanburg, S.C. and will visit Jacksonville State on Nov. 9.
Florida A&M’s home opener comes on Nov. 15 against Trinity Baptist College at the Al Lawson Gymnasium.
A trip to Lubbock, Texas awaits FAMU on Nov. 18 to face off against Texas Tech, before closing out the opening month with a trip to Johnson University on Nov. 22 in Kissimmee, Fla.
The Lady Rattlers will open December with three consecutive road contests. FAMU visits Florida on Dec. 1, followed by opponents from the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), Mississippi Valley State (Dec. 6) and Alcorn State (Dec. 8).
Florida A&M plays host to Jacksonville on Dec. 17 and wraps up its home campaign for the 2019 slate on Dec. 20 against Alabama A&M. FAMU ends the year at LSU on Dec. 28 in Baton Rouge, La.
The Rattlers continue their road swing to open January and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play Jan. 4 and Jan. 6 at North Carolina Central and North Carolina A&T State, respectively.
Florida A&M will celebrate its home opener on Jan. 11 against Morgan State and will complete the two-game homestand on Jan. 13 against Coppin State.
The Rattlers will travel to Orangeburg, S.C. to face South Carolina State on Jan. 16, but will return home on Jan. 20 to take on North Carolina Central.
Florida A&M will visit Howard on Jan. 25 and Norfolk State on Jan. 27, before opening February with home contests against Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 1), Howard (Feb. 8) and North Carolina A&T State (Feb. 10).
The Rattlers will make the long-distance travel to Delaware State (Feb. 15) and Maryland Eastern Shore (Feb. 17) and will wrap up their home campaign Feb. 22 and Feb. 24 against Norfolk State and South Carolina State, respectively.
Florida A&M concludes the season on March 5 in Daytona Beach, Fla. against rival Bethune-Cookman.
