CHESAPEAKE, Va. (Mar. 26) - The FAMU Women's Bowling team battled viliantly this weekend in the 2016 MEAC Bowling Championships here at the AMF Bowling Lanes, but bowed out after two losses in Saturday's bracket play.

Florida A&M (42-55) began the weekend  with traditional team matches on Friday, and was seeded eighth with 4,251 total pins.

FAMU entered Bracket Play Saturday with Baker games, suffering a 4-1 loss to top-seeded Delaware State, dropping into the elimination bracket.

There, the Lady Rattlers faced off against No. 4 Howard. FAMU fought hard in a back-and-forth battle with the Bison and took a 3-2 advantage after a 191-187 win in the fifth game.

However, the Lady Rattlers dropped the final two games in a 4-3 decision to Howard to end a challenging season.
