The MEAC recognizes student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, including sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as transfer student-athletes, who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year.
FAMU’s academic all-star contingent included Men’s Cross Country performer Jairrin Dickens, and Women’s Cross Country team members Desitny Johnson, Judith Kibii, Effiey Kosgei, Nicole Kvitkauskas, April Polite and QuanDra Shanks.
“I applaud our men’s and women’s cross country student-athletes who have maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average,” said Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. “In addition to acknowledging the accomplishments of these student-athletes, I commend the academic support staff, faculty and coaches who contributed to the academic success of these student-athletes.”
The 2015 MEAC Cross Country Championship will be staged on Saturday, October 31 in Dover, Delaware.
