Florida A&M comes up short 3-1 to Houston Christian

YOUNGSVILLE, La. --The Florida A&M Rattlers put together an admirable effort on Friday, but ultimately came up short, losing to the Houston Christian Huskies by the score of 3-1.

Senior Nadia Zenteno (1-1) took the loss in the circle for Florida A&M (2-4). Senior Cris'Deona Beasley entered the ballgame after four and went two shutout innings while allowing two hits, walking none and striking out five.

Junior Amaya Gainer led the way offensively for the Rattlers, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame with a double.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Rattlers were trailing 3-0 in the sixth inning when they first put runs on the board. Freshman Neriah Lee came across to score the lone run of the inning for Florida A&M and get them on the board. The Rattlers were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
