Florida A&M Softball Travels to Bethune-Cookman for Weekend Series

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. | Florida A&M softball to travel to Daytona Beach, Florida, for a weekend series at in-state rival Bethune-Cookman.

Last Time Out
The Rattlers traveled to Macon for a midweek game at Mercer, in which they lost 7-1.

Scouting the Rattlers
• The Rattlers are middle of the pack in the SWAC as they are ranked fifth in doubles, doubles per game, home runs per game, and stolen bases per game.
• MelKayla Irvis is one of the best in the nation regarding steals per game as she's ranked 58th, averaging .5 steals per game.
• Destiny Cuevas has been the Rattlers' top hitter as she leads the team with 28 hits and a SLG% of .536.

Scouting the Wildcats
• The Wildcats are the best pitching team in the SWAC as they're ranked first in ERA and strikeout-to-walk ratio.
• The Wildcats' top pitcher, Hannah Ortega, has an ERA of 2.57 after pitching 111.2 innings (13th most in the nation)
• The Wildcats struggle hitting as no one on their team has a batting average or a slugging percentage over .300.
